Taylor Armstrong Close to DWTS Deal!” reads the giddy headline of a Perez Hilton story which he picked up from an equally unreliable site that’s read by virtually no one.


Still, without even fact-checking, Perez gobbled up the webloid’s story that the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star is “super close to sealing a deal for the upcoming season” of “Dancing with the Stars.”


Perhaps the rationale was that it’s worth reporting anything about Armstrong in the wake of her husband Russell‘s shocking suicide, even if there’s absolutely nothing to the rumor.


Last week, there was the 100% untrue report that Armstrong had been fired from “Housewives.


Regardless, since Gossip Cop is the only site that separate facts from fiction in celebrity reporting, we looked into this, and a source connected to the show assures us, “It’s total bulls–t. Not true.”


Like Armstrong’s supposed “deal,” Perez’s story and similar tabloid reports are not even “close.
