Giuliana Rancic.


Giuliana Rancic is an Italian American celebrity news personality. She is a host on E! News, the E! Network's flagship entertainment news program.
In addition to her news anchoring duties, Rancic often co-hosts red carpet events for award shows, such as the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards. On March 13, 2006, she was joined as host of E! News by Ryan Seacrest. She is the creator and executive producer of MTV's Celebrity Rap Superstar, which premiered in 2007. She appeared in the movie Bring It On: Fight to the Finish in a brief scene. She also hosted the Miss USA 2011 beauty pageant on NBC.Rancic was born in Naples, Italy and moved to the United States at the age of 5, where she was raised in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. She is a graduate of Walt Whitman High School (Bethesda, Maryland), received a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a master's degree in Journalism from American University. While in attendance, Rancic served as a features correspondent for the syndicated university television station, covering a number of stories related to the Pentagon, Supreme Court, White House and State Department.
Her father, Eduardo DePandi, is a master tailor. The DePandi family owns Bruno Cipriani, a high-end men's clothing store in the White Flint Mall in North Bethesda, Maryland. She has two siblings: a sister, Monica, and an opera singer brother, Pasquale DePandi.On December 15, 2006, Bill Rancic and Giuliana announced their engagement. The two were married on September 1, 2007 in a ceremony on Capri at Santa Sophia Church in Anacapri.
Giuliana Rancic appeared on The View with husband Bill to discuss her fertility issues. The couple have been trying to conceive since approximately the beginning of 2009. Her doctors had recommended that she gain weight in order to increase the chances of pregnancy. In February 2010, she stated that she had gained five pounds, and was working on gaining more weight. The couple began in vitro fertilization (IVF) in March 2010 and got pregnant in the spring of 2010, however Giuliana suffered a miscarriage at eight weeks.Rancic had an IVF transfer for a second time in November 2010, however the procedure did not result in a pregnancy. On October 17, 2011 during an interview on The Today Show, Giuliana announced that she had been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, for which she would be treated with a lumpectomy, followed by radiation.
