Pempengo, a 40-year-old construction worker, died in the Philippines Monday after being fatally stabbed by a drunken man after purchasing cigarettes at a local store. Angel Capili Jr. turned himself in to the chief of his village in General Trias township south of Manila, says Gilbert Cruz, police chief of nearby Laguna province. He was taken into custody and charged with the murder on Thursday. Cruz said Capili is also a construction worker but did not know Pempengco.A man has turned himself into police in connection with the stabbing death of Ricky Pempengco, the estranged father of singer Charice.
